Project: PoC of SAP Business Data Cloud (evolution of SAP Datasphere) with the following business cases:
- Greenfield implementation of Financial Data Models using Datasphere Content as an accelerator and reporting in SAC Excel Add-In and financial dashboard in SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Replication of persistent data in Datasphere (Financial data view as source) using Replication Flow Premium Outbound to an external system via SFTP with initial loading, deltas with data insertion, modification, and deletion.
- Data Integration Pass-Through – Export of data from S/4HANA to an external system via SFTP server without data persistence in Datasphere.
- Demo of BW/4HANA lift & shift to SAP BW PCE and integration into Datasphere via Data Product Generator.
- SAP Intelligent Apps Demo.
Challenges: The current solution architecture creates potential challenges in terms of complexity, points of failure, and delays in data availability. Reporting large volumes of data to SAP sources whose BW/4HANA infrastructure is not prepared for future volumes. The current solution can be optimized, but this would mean investment misaligned with the SAP roadmap. Redundant data in 4 distinct systems (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, EIM, Data Lake)
